However, Reiji eventually managed to beat the leaders of both gangs, Rina Minagawa and Junpei Hanasaki, in races and persuaded to combine their groups with Made in Heaven, becoming sub-factions of his gang. Made in Heaven developed rivalries with two other biker gangs, the all-girl Raging Angels and the diesel-punk Bakuon Rairyu. Due to his charisma and great skill as a racer, Reiji quickly became the leader of this gang, which he rename "Made in Heaven".
However, he eventually befriended another biker called Masaru Akatsuka and decided to join the gang of street racers he was a part of. In his late teens, he developed a passion for motorcycle racing and he initially wanted to become a stunt performer. Despite his unprivileged background, Reiji always excelled at everything he tried, meaning he often overshadowed his younger brother, Dan. Reiji Murasaki was from a very poor family in Yokohama. However, in the last few months of his life, Reiji had started becoming weary of the dangerous lifestyle he and his friends led as daredevil bike racers. He was also respectful of their feelings, as shown by how he let Rina Minagawa down gently after she confessed her romantic feelings to him, which he did not reciprocate. He was supportive of his friends and was open about his feelings with them.
Reiji was described by all his friends from Made in Heaven as a charismatic and fearless man, whose sole goal in life was to improve his skills as a racer and stuntman. He wears a stark white suit with a grey sweater-shirt underneath and black dress shoes. Reiji is a mid-sized man in his early 20's who has his hair dyed golden blonde.
